Meet Dr. Jimmy Nguyen
Dr. Jimmy Nguyen has over a decade of experience in family and artistic dentistry. As a general dentist, he offers oral health therapies for every stage of life, whether it’s preventative care for children or full mouth reconstruction with dental implants for a retiree.
Growing up, Dr. Nguyen was always good with his hands. He enjoyed hobbies like drawing and painting. As he gravitated toward a career in dentistry, he brought that artistic talent with him. He chose to attend dental school at USC due to its reputation and close vicinity to where he grew up in Orange County. While in school he enjoyed the small-group problem-based learning program, which allowed dental students to perform independent research and learning outside of traditional classroom models.
After graduating from dental school in 2008, Dr. Nguyen established a practice in Riverside to provide affordable care in an area that needed better access to quality dentistry.
Dental Care
Dr. Nguyen takes a number of continuing education courses each year, particularly those associated with new techniques and cosmetic restorations. His goal is to provide restorative care that’s realistic as possible, so that it doesn’t look as if the patient’s teeth have actually had work done to them.
The most fulfilling part of my career is taking someone out of pain and helping them feel comfortable again. Their problem is gone and I’m able to restore their smile back into an accessory that they’re happy with.
Outside of the Office
Dr. Nguyen and his wife, Diane, married in 2015. In 2020 they welcomed the birth of their first daughter! When Dr. Nguyen isn’t spending time with his family, he enjoys playing pickup basketball with his friends, watching the Lakers, drawing and painting.
